Front End Developer

Idea Marketing Group is looking for a Front End Developer with WordPress experience to join our fast-paced creative company. Looking for experience building websites using the latest web standards with smart responsive layouts and fast load speeds. Willingness to go that extra mile to ensure work is done right within tight deadlines.

  • You must share examples of your code, GitHub is preferred with PHP code samples

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for collaborating within a team to build websites with smart responsive layouts and fast load speeds
  • Responsible for reviewing design prior to the development stage and providing feedback for design changes or development functionality assessments
  • Converting designs to work as a WordPress theme
  • Oversee and further develop Quality Control protocols (providing documentation where needed)
  • Preparing sites to move from development to production and execution
  • Regularly practicing, following, and applying HTML5, CSS (SASS), PHP (OOP), and JavaScript/JQuery code standards
  • Working understanding of web animation including CSS, JavaScript, and SVG
  • Assist in upselling enhancements and ongoing packages to existing clients
  • Accurately log hours
  • Utilizing Asana daily for task management and noting project details accordingly
  • Continually seek out professional development opportunities to develop skills (minimum 36 hours per year)
  • Support to other departments when needed
  • Travel 5 – 10% based on need, customer face-to-face interaction, and team support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2-5 years of related code development experience
  • Good listening skills with applied creative thinking
  • Excellence in time and task management, attention to detail, and overall organization
  • Self-motivated and driven; able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information clearly and persuasively
  • Advanced knowledge of WordPress, HTML5, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript/JQuery
