HR Specialist

In the HR Specialist role for Idea Marketing Group, you will be a main point of contact for all employees needs. Building strong, long lasting relationships is critical for this position.
Responsibilities
- Bi-weekly Payroll processing, PTO record keeping, deduction adjustments
- New Hire Guidance which includes regulations, creating and presenting offer letters, negotiation of position salary
- Employee Records Maintenance which includes all required tax forms, I-9 verification, emergency contacts, banking details for deposits, reviews, probationary documentation, resume and misc
- Employee Handbook revisions, keeping the company policies up to date and implementation
- Benefit Administration which includes enrolling employees (Health, Dental, Vision, Simple Plan), adjusting dependents, troubleshooting, misc. paperwork. Managing Open Enrollment Annually.
- Bi-Annual review of benefit options and cost saving opportunities
- Employee documentation guidance for Management
- Annual Employee Review guidance for Management
- Mediator for internal issues that arise with employees
- Quarterly review of multiple state current Employee laws and Business laws to ensure the company is in compliance
- Assisting the Finance & Administration Manager where needed
- Continuous professional development for skill advancement (min 36 hours annually)
- Remain current on industry norms and future trends and apply that to current and future offerings
- Travel 10 – 20% based on need, customer face to face interaction, and team support
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- 3-5 years related HR experience;
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Asana;
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ADP Run;
- Familiarity with the EEOC, DOL and other various regulatory agencies;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, reaching out to clients via phone and video chat;
- Good listening skills with applied creative thinking;
- Excellence in time and task management, attention to detail, and overall organization;
- Self-motivated and driven; able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team;
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information clearly and persuasively;
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of WordPress, Google Gmail, Documents, Sheets, Calendar and the Internet.
