Working as a Support Developer for Idea Marketing Group, you will become an integral yet flexible member of our collaborative team. Working as a support website developer is a dynamic and rewarding role that involves creating visually appealing and interactive user interfaces for websites. As a support developer, you collaborate closely with designers and back-end developers to bring designs to life, ensuring seamless user experiences across multiple devices and browsers. You use a combination of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to code and implement responsive layouts, animations, and interactive elements. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and staying updated with the latest web technologies are crucial in this role. Support developers play a vital role in optimizing website performance, ensuring accessibility, and delivering an engaging and user-friendly online presence for businesses and their audiences.

Position Responsibilities
- Working within deadlines without sacrificing attention to detail
- Continually improving WordPress Skills (actions, filters, plugin development)
- Regularly practicing, applying, and following HTML5, CSS (SASS), PHP (OOP), and JavaScript/JQuery code standards
- Working understanding including CSS, JavaScript, and SVG
- Working understanding of database architecture queries utilizing MySQL
- Troubleshoot and document client development issues
- Assist Support Manager daily with support tickets/requests and work to resolve issues
- Accurately log hours
- Utilizing Asana daily for task management and noting project details accordingly
- Continually seek out professional development opportunities to develop skills (minimum 36 hours per year)
- Support to other departments when needed
- Travel 5 – 10% based on need, customer face-to-face interaction, and team support
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-5 years of related code development experience
- Excellent listening skills with applied creative thinking
- Excellence in time and task management, attention to detail, and overall organization
- Self-motivated and driven; able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information clearly and persuasively
- Advanced knowledge of WordPress, HTML5, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript/JQuery
